Hello and welcome back to my website! I feel relieved and back on track writing this. It has been about a week since my last post, the longest I’ve ever gone! To make up for this, I have such great recipes to share this coming week. Which is completely attached to where I’ve been, committed to the setting up and selling my foods for the very first time!
The decision to go to this event was a sudden one which I’ve now realized is sometimes best. To impulsively take risks, an action I believe I’ve underdone throughout my life. I found out about the event about two weeks prior, and I had no obvious idea of what I would even sell. Yet, I accepted and workshopped throughout the week to decide which items. Fortunately, last week I was absolutely craving a basque cheesecake. I had only made one before, and it was deliciously gratifying.
Unlike other styles of cheesecake, basque cheesecake is baked which creates this gorgeous molten gold to a complex black bronze appearance. It is crustless, airy, with an irresistible soft velvety texture. I decided if I’m going to sell one item that is luxurious, it would be this item. Later on I have a key plan in motion to give to you my very own unique, enchanting, undeniably delicious basque cheesecake recipe. It will not be like others; great ideas are flowing to take this cherished dessert to another level with personal twists. I have never had a basque – any cheesecake that I haven’t enjoyed thoroughly.

So I made three beautiful basque cheesecakes, along with two other items I believe will do well anywhere at anytime: cookies, and my candied bacon. I’m actually so pleased with my candied bacon, it very well may be the first item I sell on my site! It was my most sold item and I had great reactions. The most memorable was this kid that I gave a sample to whose smile lit up like a light bulb he loved it. I decided cookies as my last food item to sell because it seems so obvious to me, everyone loves cookies. I sold white chocolate chip cookies which is one of my favorite kinds, and those were my three food items I sold.
If you’re wondering about my cookie recipe, that will also be out soon! I enjoy both crunchy and soft cookies, and have always desired something in between. The textures of the cookies Subway sells is something I always craved growing up and mine are inspired by those. However, I’ve read they use margarine which is something I never use so mine will thankfully be slightly different.
In conclusion, selling my food at the event was a success. I sold cookies, candied bacon, and basque cheesecake all of which recipes I look forward to sharing. I do plan to continue showcasing my food and selling them perhaps once a month. I think it is a really good way to promote the site especially in these early days.
Lastly, thank you so much for reading my blog and tagging me on Instagram! I love seeing everyone’s creations and twists on recipes. This is going to be an absolute fantastic week for sharing recipes, can’t wait for all of your feedback. I’ll see you soon with more recipe content, please take care of yourself, and have fun my friends.
