Welcome back comrade

Thank you for making my second ever smoothie recipe my friend! This recipe is another one that is very close to my heart, but for completely different reasons. This is the smoothie I make a couple times a week, every time after I work out. So it is part sweet reward, but mostly part importance for the protein. In fact, considering we aren’t adding any sugar since it’ll come from the protein powder and from natural sugar in the banana, I don’t even consider it an indulgence. So please enjoy this smoothie guilt free like I do, and flex those muscles.

Detailed directions

1: Prepare ingredients: Add all of the ingredients to the blender in order of softest to hardest: the milk, cinnamon, powder, clove, and banana. It would be beneficial to slice the banana into fourths, but it is not necessary.

2. Blend: Blend the ingredients on the high or the smoothie option on your blender. You’ll know when it is ready when the mix is creamy and the powder is fully incorporated.

Ingredients and alternatives

For this recipe I used whole milk, and vanilla whey protein powder. If you’d like to use almond milk or any other alternative, excellent! If you are without a frozen banana, I recommend including three ice cubes to the ingredients so the end result is still cold and yummy.
